In an ideal world, you would have over a year to plan your wedding, a limitless amount of money to spend, and family and friends that go along with everything you say. Unfortunately, most of us have none of those and one of the biggest problems is in fact your time frame. If you are trying to plan a wedding in a hurry – usually within three months – then you have got to get to work now! Weddings that are planned with that little lead-time are known to be expensive, so here are a few keys to cheap wedding planning in a hurry:

1. The cheapest and most accommodating place for marriages in a hurry is Reno, Las Vegas, or Atlantic City. Any cheap wedding planning expert will tell you that each of these cities have numerous resorts and casinos that offer wedding packages from a few hundred dollars to several thousand. Your guests can stay there (usually at a discounted rate), you can eat there, the wedding is there, and the wedding planner at the casino will arrange for the marriage license and the person to marry you. It just couldn’t be an easier and it will be a lot of fun, too!

2. People often get derailed from their effort at cheap wedding planning once they realize that they will have to invite more and more people. Watch out for this! Set a limit on your guests early and stick to it. The fewer guests you have, the more options you will have as to where the reception is held and how much it will cost.

3. Instead of hiring a hall or hotel to hold your reception, have it in a restaurant. Most restaurants will hire you a small room with a fixed menu at a much lower price than having it catered elsewhere.
